Before he founded Berry Law Firm, John Berry Sr. served three tours in Vietnam, where he earned the Bronze Star.
During his service, John transferred from Infantry to the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps and worked as chief defense counsel for Vietnam’s largest general court martial jurisdiction.
John’s role took him throughout Vietnam, protecting the rights of GIs. His journeys included successfully defending members of the 5th Special Forces against murder charges.

Pop corn?
In Jan ’72 a large care package came from my mother. Every one got to the radio pad to make sure it didn’t spoil, and make fun of my family for sending pop corn all ready popped. Didn’t stop anyone from digging in though. After a few minutes someone reached in and came out with a glasss. A REAL glass. I had mentioned in a letter that we were drinking out of Texasware tumblers and the thick plastic rim just didn’t cut it, so my mother sent me 2 dozen glasses. How do you keep them from breaking? POP CORN! but pop it first.
Those glasses were used by everyone, and I cannot remember any breaking.
